"Ever Heard of Self-Projection?"

Films: The Projected Man (1966)

Alias: None

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Hey, let's get this out of the way. At least Steiner's own teleportation project didn't end with him having the head of an insectoid pest. He should honestly count his lucky stars...even if his powers were twice as horrifying.

History: Dr. Paul Steiner and his assistant were testing out his own projection device that transports objects elsewhere. It works on inanimate objects, but not so much on animate ones. One day, in an attempt to impress the higher-ups, he projected himself, and it landed him considerably farther than his lab. Oh, and it horribly disfigured his face and gave him energy powers deadly to the touch. He soon went on a murderous rampage against those who wronged him, as these types of monsters are apt to do.

Notable Kills: One touch, and you get a fancy fatal burn mark on you.

Final Fate: After confronting the remaining ones he knows, Paul makes a self-destructive move, and has the projector fire willy-nilly until he himself is hit. Where he went or even if he survived, none can say.

Powers/Abilities: With one touch, Steiner can shock you to death with pure energy.

Weakness: Needs a constant source of energy.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-Not only can this guy kill you with just a pat, but DEAR GOD, his face! It's like someone invented a time machine, saw Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" and said to himself, "I can do something to that degree." It’s almost as bad as the Kovak Robot from earlier.

Trivia: -Reportedly, this film was the subject of going over-budget and having its own director fired at the last minute. According to all, the less known about that, the better.

-Despite its similarities to films like "The Fly" and "4D Man", the producer has denied any inspiration from those types of film.

The freak and the natural freaks.

Hell lies within the skin, now.

She should probably be dead by that logic.
